I've started a wiki and mailing list to discuss running Pylons/TG and
other WSGI tools on Google App Engine. If you have made any attempts
along those lines, please share your experiences so we can gather a
knowledge base of what works and doesn't work. Or if you haven't done
it but would like to, this would be a good place to learn the FAQs.

In the interest of full disclosure, Noah Gift and I are writing a book
about Python on App Engine. ("Google App Engine in Action: Python in
the Cloud", to be published by Manning next year.) We'd like to write
a lot about WSGI and our favorite framework Pylons, but since App
Engine is brand-new a lot of the information isn't "there" yet. So we
need the community's help in terms of sharing experiences, asking
questions, and answering them. There's no existing forum I could find
specific to both App Engine and WSGI, so I decided to create one.

App Engine Pipefitters is a chapter of the Pipefitters' Union, a group
of WSGI developers dedicated to promoting WSGI and building the next
generation of interoperable Python web components (whether that be on
WSGI, WSGI 2, WebOb, or something else).
