I'm worried about the state of authentication in pylons. I don't know what I'd recommend to someone else for authentication if they were to start building something, and I think this is a big stumbling point with pylons as a web framework. I understand not everyone wants authentication, but it is a common need and for pylons to get more traction I believe this issue needs to be addressed much better.
