Hi John, I was a heavy user of TurboGears 1 (and CherryPy alone for simple projects) a few years back. While TG2 was under development I learnt Pylons and started using it for new projects and even though TG2 is now released I am very comfortable with Pylons and am sticking with it. I find TG2 too different from TG1 for it to be a simple upgrade. It is more like a bastardisation of TG1 and Pylons, which isn't a bad thing, but now that I know Pylons and have settled for my own choice of components around it I'm very happy with the results. I do find TG2 a good reference point when I need to solve a problem that those guys have already solved. "Hmmm, how did they do this in TG2?" If you need a simple project done quickly then I'd recommend trying TG2. But I think they will even admit, their docs are still lacking, so you will end up learning Pylons anyway if you need to dig under the hood.
