I wouldn't take my input as meaning they are *equal*, I am by no means a
server expert. I've been following Graham's work on mod_wsgi and from
what I can see he's really made it a great production setup, and a lot
of people who's opinions I respect are switching to mod_wsgi for serious
use cases. 

I just find they both have their uses, and that there are cases where a
proxied setup can be a handy thing to know how to use. ;-)
