I would have to agree with Mike wholeheartedly. I think people's biggest problem with FormEncode is they are not sure how to use it. I have repeatedly heard people complain about the documentation but it actually serves very well as reference but where it is lacking is in examples within the web application context.
Actually I got so fed up with FormEncode after using it for a couple of years, that I wrote my own library eventually (I guess at some point everyone has to write something like that ;-) so if someone like to see something like a 'better formencode', you might want to have a look:
