Hello, Gopalakrishnan. A repoze.who identifier is the component that checks whether the user was authenticated previously. A challenger is the component in charge of asking the user, somehow, to provide their credentials (e.g., username and password).
So thanks to identifiers, we don't have to challenge on every request. HTH. - Gustavo.
