While the pyfacebook library has a lot of faults, poor documentation, etc., it is still better than having to meld a system together using php + pylons just to handle applications.
There are two aspects of Facebook integration that I'm interested in. Using FBConnect (Facebook's OpenID) to allow a user to log into an external site using their Facebook ID. While Velruse handles the authentication part, I never delved into it deep enough to integrate it with an a&a system on Pylons. The other aspect is the IFrame Canvas app with the Graph API. There are half a dozen other configurations, but, having something that works cleanly -- even to the point of integrating the Javascript SDK for some of the features to make the app appear to be more facebook-like and less external is interesting. I don't have time right now to look at it, but, I'll pass some of my notes over to you for some caveats I've run into. -- You received this message because you are subscribed to the Google Groups "pylons-discuss" group.
