I didn't find anything about the new alternative to paster.
Are they public/open to the community?
I don't know who exactly is working on them or how far along they are.
The ideas are on the Pyramid wiki.
https://github.com/Pylons/pyramid/wiki/Pyramid-2-brainstorm
Our GSOC students are porting Pyramid's dependencies to Python 3. The
Paste replacement project won't get seriously underway until after
that is done.
I should add that we don't have a specific idea exactly what we want.
It's mainly a question of whether it's worth porting the remaining
parts of Paste to Python 3 (now that WebOb, WebError, PasteOb, etc,
have been spun off), or to write something more modern that has the
same functionality but more streamlined code and perhaps more
features. Probably different people will try to do both in parallel,
and will try to keep all solutions compatible with Pyramid 1.x and 2.x
so that you can use any of them, regardless of which one gets chosen
as the default.
Projects status is clear now :)
Thank you very much.
Regards,
Stefano.
