Hi folks, There will be a Plone conference in San Francisco between Nov. 1-8 (less than a month away) that will have a sizeable Pylons Project presence (http://ploneconf.org).
Although the major thrust of the conference is Plone, there are about 12 Pyramid-related talks; effectively a "Pyramid track". See http://2011ploneconference.sched.org/overview/type/pyramid . Additionally I'd like to hold at least one Pyramid BOF (birds-of-a-feather) on Friday, Nov. 4 at 3pm. This will be a session that will let us get together and yammer about the Pylons Project and Pyramid. Personally, I'd like to use the session to try to figure out how to scale the community a little better. Please add your ideas to https://github.com/Pylons/pyramid/wiki/Bof-ideas . There will be sprints at the tail end of the conference (Nov. 7 & 8).. the sprints are open to the public without charge. We have a fairly sizeable list of potential sprint topics at https://github.com/Pylons/pyramid/wiki/Sprint-Ideas . If you have other tasks you need help with, I'd add them there. We'll likely have at least one or two "all hands" tasks that folks with no particular agenda can help out on or if you already know what you want to do and just need the sprint as an excuse to get out of work to do it, you should do it!
