Hi folks,
It's been several months since we collected about $5K to overhaul
Pyramid documentation. In that time, we've only got as far as
identifying the areas that need fixing:
<https://github.com/Pylons/pyramid/issues?labels=docoverhaul%2Cdocs&page=1&state=open>
Our original plans about getting the docs effort started in earnest fell
through. This is entirely my fault. I would have liked to have been
much further along by now.
So here it is: I need to find an experienced, opinionated tech writer
who can make measurable progress on their own without oversight. This
person would need to lead the process and form their own opinions about
the relative importance of the open issues, because I'm not sure even
where to tell them where to start. Ideally I'd pitch in fewer than 10
hours a week during this person's reign, to answer tech questions and
bounce ideas off of.
Does anyone know such a person? They'd have to be willing to work for
somewhere around $25/hr. That's been an issue so far. ;-) That's
possibly a little flexible depending on their relative experience but
our budget is fixed to $5K without further contributions, so it's going
to go pretty fast.
If I don't find someone by Nov 30, I'll just take on the job myself, but
I'd really rather get someone in who knows what they're doing.
Bring on the bikeshed,
- C
