Knew I forgot something, OS = Windows XP. If I was an experienced Linux user
I would most likely have had the skills doing it myself :)
Ouch. Windows XP. I never built gcc/gcj for Windows myself. There is a site,
www.thisiscool.org, that has scripts to build gcc/gcj for Windows and that has
been the source of the gcc/gcj binaries I've been using for PyLucene.
The author of these scripts recently posted to the [EMAIL PROTECTED] mailing:
http://gcc.gnu.org/ml/java/2005-09/msg00121.html
I believe that I also read on this mailing list that LARGE_CONFIG
should become the default, so I'd consider it not being it a bug.
If you manage to get a gcc/gcj 3.4.4 build for Windows with LARGE_CONFIG
enabled, please let me know, I'd be glad to host these binaries on the
PyLucene site. If I get the time I intend to try this myself too...
Andi..
