I've had little luck with building sane gcj 4.x versions on Linux. For help building it, you may contact [EMAIL PROTECTED]

I did notice that ubuntu 7.04 comes with a version of gcj, 4.1.2, that works pretty well.

I've also been able to build earlier gcj 4.2.0 snapshot on 64 bit AMD systems.
