Hello Pymol users

I went to a recent Crystallography workshop and noticed everyone had great
pictures of their protein-protein binding interface. One molecule had a
surface representation while another did not. The interacting residues
were very clear. I have tried to repeat this by making a surface
representation of one molecule and hiding the cartoon. Then I copy the
molecule and show only the residues. This allows me to use different
colors for surface and residues but when I use transparency for the
surface my residues in the second molecule start to get bleached out. Can
anyone help me with this. Thanks!
