This message is posted on behalf of my colleague Dr. Sangita Sinha:
A postdoctoral position starting immediately is available to conduct NMR
studies of proteins involved in autophagy. Specifically, various collaborative
projects are investigating the conformational flexibility and function of
intrinsically disordered protein regions involved in autophagy nucleation.
This position will be based in the laboratory of Dr. Sangita Sinha at North
Dakota State University and will involve collaboration with Dr. Richard
Kriwacki (St. Jude, Memphis, TN USA), a leader in studies of disordered
proteins. The ideal candidate should be self-motivated, have a Ph.D. in
Biochemistry, Biophysics or a related field, with a strong background in
protein expression and purification and in the use of NMR spectroscopy to study
protein structure, disorder and dynamics. The candidate will also have the
opportunity to be trained in single crystal X-ray Crystallography, small-angle
X-ray scattering and other biophysical methods as well as basic cellular
assays. The initial contract will be for a period of one year with potential
renewal for an additional two years pending a satisfactory performance review.
Additional information and instructions for application may be found at:
https://jobs.ndsu.edu/postings/6053. Applications should include a cover
letter and CV with bibliography. In addition, three letters of recommendation
should be sent directly to
sangita.si...@ndsu.edu<mailto:sangita.si...@ndsu.edu>.
North Dakota State University is an equal opportunity employer and all
qualified applicants will receive consideration for employment without regard
to race, color, religion, sex, national origin, age, disability or veterans
status. All candidates for employment are subject to a pre-employment screening
which includes a review of criminal records, reference checks, and verification
of education.
