Hi,

I have faced the same issue as Marko in the past. The ray_trace_gain
setting does not work well when one starts to increase the resolution of
the image. I remember ray-tracing an image to 3000x1500, and testing
ray_trace_gain to ridiculous values like 1000000000 and it changed nothing
in the outcome.
