I already have a commercial license for Qt C++ version, but would like to use pyside for prototype development. Any info regarding a pyside commercial license (are they even offered?) would be helpful; I don't know much about GPL/LGPL.

There are no commercial licenses for PySide. PySide is an open source project, and although the development is funded by Nokia, it's not a Nokia project. While some of the development is funded by Nokia, there are a plenty of community contributors as well, and since there is no copyright assignment or licensing required for contributions (and this was a conscious decision), changing the license or selling commercial versions is not feasible. This shouldn't matter, however, because LGPL is actually pretty lenient regards to commercial application development (like Anderson and Thomas have already commented).

Cheers,

ma.
