Hi Francesc! I've checkedd out PyTables trunk (r4390) in my iBook G4 (PowerPC 32-bit) running Mac OS X 10.4.11 Tiger and, after fixing the problem mentioned in http://blosc.pytables.org/trac/ticket/3, the full heavy test suite runs like a charm.
