It's quite hard to find more about the history of pytest - when was it actually founded? The first thing I found are some commits in the pytest-commit ML archive from 2004: https://mail.python.org/pipermail/pytest-commit/2004-October/000003.html It seems like most of the concepts were already there though - so is there some earlier history (perhaps as part of PyPy) I haven't found out about yet?
