(I'd been using it because it features prominently in various examples in Python books, and it's lightweight.) I haven't tested with the 3.x series, because I rely on the 2.6 branch as a dependency for a variety of software on NetBSD, but having said that, I can test it on Mac OS X. Your test output is the correct, expected results, yes.
