Martin Panter added the comment: There is a flaw with inheriting the readline() method in my patch, and I have decided to give up fixing the StreamReader classes. I did update the documentation in my copy of the patch based on Marc-Andre Lemburg’s feedback if anyone is interested in it, otherwise I am going to focus on some of the incremental codecs now.
