I'm not opposed to PEP 340 in principle, but the ramifications seemed to be getting extraordinarily complicated, and it seems to be hamstrung by various backwards-compatibility constraints. E.g. it seems we can't make for-loops work the way they should in the face of generator finalisation or we break old code. -- Greg Ewing, Computer Science Dept, +--------------------------------------+ University of Canterbury, | A citizen of NewZealandCorp, a | Christchurch, New Zealand | wholly-owned subsidiary of USA Inc. | [EMAIL PROTECTED] +--------------------------------------+ _______________________________________________ Python-Dev mailing list Python-Dev@python.org http://mail.python.org/mailman/listinfo/python-dev Unsubscribe: http://mail.python.org/mailman/options/python-dev/archive%40mail-archive.com
