I think the bug tracker is a way in which users communicate with developers. There have been 296 issues since Dec 3rd that got tagged with version 3.0. The absolute majority of these were documentation problems (documentation was incorrect). Then, I would say we have installation problems, and then problems with IDLE. Notice that bdist_wininst doesn't really work in 3.0. So you likely won't see many packages until 3.0.1 is released.
