I'm in.
Currently, I'm using a very low level GL wrapper lib
(pyglet<http://pyglet.org/>)
for a desktop app. Definitely, there is a need to more higher level lib.

Two remark: I heard Guido presentation about Python 3K. One of his
justification for the need of P3K, was that "machines are turn to be more
fast and with more memory". So it seems, that P3K will be more "heavier" in
term of machine resources. This might imply, that desktop apps are not in
the main focus of python.
and
What about python within a web-browser? Is IronPython + Silverlight is the
only solution?
