Here's something we can all agree on. If Google becomes a devil, the only way the community can survive is if we have http://www.django.org.il/ up and running, using only open software and friendly hosting. To be truly independent we must have it up and running. I want to try and use django-website for this - breaking Django community to a set of local communities. Here are the parts I want to use: - Aggregator: an app that polls Feeds and displays their items - Mingus: blogging project: latest Django blog (0.1) made only from pluggable apps. YOu can check a sample: http://libby.tuzig.com - Whoosh: A python full-text search - Disqus: Django based commenting service - BitBucket: source control and a project management hosted service - CouchDB - for replication and offline access It's clear our top priority is to add an event calendar - just so so we can have a main link to use everywhere and be all happy.
