OS is Linux, wxPython is Debian python-wxgtk2.6 2.6.3.2.2-5+b1.

If I do, I get

Traceback (most recent call last):
  File "wxtk_challenge_1.py", line 222, in <module>
    frame = AppFrame()
  File "wxtk_challenge_1.py", line 206, in __init__
    self.listWidget.showDirectory(sys.prefix)
  File "wxtk_challenge_1.py", line 150, in showDirectory
    imageIdx = self.imageMap[iconname]
KeyError: 'folder'

If I then also comment out lines 150..154, I get a window, but it's
empty (of course).

Well Rick, this doesn't make look wxPython any better.
