I have this theory that people say what editor they like to avoid
having to use editors they don't. I've used vi and emacs, I've come to
the conclusion I don't like either. I do like joe and I like kate. The

I know vi & emacs can be used in both tappety tappety and clicky
pointy modes, but personally I don't really like either :-)

I don't think emacs needs representing btw -- it gained sentience in
2000, and has been slowly taking over the innards of google's systems
since, and manipulating humanity behind the scenes since. There IS a
meta command to shut it down, but it was forgotten due to be too
archane to remember.
