I have this theory that people say what editor they like to avoid having to use editors they don't. I've used vi and emacs, I've come to the conclusion I don't like either. I do like joe and I like kate. The first for tappety tappety places and the latter for clicky-pointy. I know vi & emacs can be used in both tappety tappety and clicky pointy modes, but personally I don't really like either :-) I don't think emacs needs representing btw -- it gained sentience in 2000, and has been slowly taking over the innards of google's systems since, and manipulating humanity behind the scenes since. There IS a meta command to shut it down, but it was forgotten due to be too archane to remember. probably-ought-to-have-some-coffee-ly, Michael. -- To post: [email protected] To unsubscribe: [email protected] Feeds: http://groups.google.com/group/python-north-west/feeds More options: http://groups.google.com/group/python-north-west
