Hi All,
After a bit of hustle and tussle with the dates, the Python
Northwest Talks Meeting is confirmed for Thursday 16th December
2010 at MadLab, 36-40 Edge Street, Manchester M4 1HN. Save the
date! (Apparently the MadLab Christmas party will now be the day
before. We should be getting an invite once the details are out :).
Start time 6:30pm.
Cheers,
Safe
Our line-up of talks is currently:
Lightning talks:
- Using Python to bring together video, dynamic distance
measurements and speed of cars passing a moving bicycle - Martin
Dunschen
- Detecting and fixing handle leaks in a CPython client. These
leaks are within the python core and I have identified them. But
getting them fixed is not so easy. Martin Dunschen.
Longer talks:
- "My favourite Python function" - David Jones
I think we have room for more talks! Post to this list with any
ideas ...
Cheers,
Safe
