Gosh 2 talks for me to give then.

To be fair, it's entirely up to you if you'd like to deliver one or both of them. It would be great to hear both but you could always save a talk for the next meeting :) I know that even a lightning talk takes some preparation.

Can we use the projector we had at the last meeting?

Yes, the same projector has been booked.

Thanks

Martin

Hi All,

After a bit of hustle and tussle with the dates, the Python Northwest Talks Meeting is confirmed for Thursday 16th December 2010 at MadLab, 36-40 Edge Street, Manchester M4 1HN. Save the date! (Apparently the MadLab Christmas party will now be the day before. We should be getting an invite once the details are out :).

Start time 6:30pm.

Cheers,

Safe

Our line-up of talks is currently:

Lightning talks:

- Using Python to bring together video, dynamic distance measurements and speed of cars passing a moving bicycle - Martin Dunschen - Detecting and fixing handle leaks in a CPython client. These leaks are within the python core and I have identified them. But getting them fixed is not so easy. Martin Dunschen.

Longer talks:

- "My favourite Python function" - David Jones

I think we have room for more talks! Post to this list with any ideas ...

Cheers,

Safe
