How dare you describe my contributions as 'coding' :D ?

Seriously, it was excellent. It was one of those sessions where the early incomprehensions quickly became opportunities to learn as you grabbed at anything that you recognised.

Many thanks to Safe for organising.

1/ Many people expressed a desire to access remotely. Does anyone have any experience of using such systems? Given the location, do we have any specific limitations imposed by that? Has MAD any experience of doing such a thing. I would have thought they would be keen if they hadn't already offered it.

2/ What facilities would people expect? I don't believe the world would benefit from the site of great lumps of programmer staring into the depths of netbooks but a feed of Room audio and the projector would seem important.

Just some thoughts.

Hi all,

I really enjoyed last night's coding session. I counted 16 people, so
it was great to see that many all coding Python.

For those of you that weren't at the meeting or who arrived late, I'd
just like to make another reminder about Python Sheffield this Tuesday
(Jan 25th). It's our first meeting and we've already got 14 people
registered. There's room for plenty more, so if you'd like more
information or would like to register to attend, see:

Thanks,

Daley
