Hi all

I was asked at the end of my talk whether the code was available. At the
time it wasn't but I've just published a new post on my blog [1] summarising
my presentation and pushed the code to github [2]. Questions, suggestions
and collaborators would all be warmly received.

For teaching programming, and specifically python programming, I remembered
a few other resources after the meeting. Dive into Python [3] is focused
more at experienced programmers but it might be worth taking a look at some
of the links in the sidebar. I haven't read Python for Software Design [4]
but I've found the Think Stats book by the same author to be good. Learn
Python the Hard Way [5] is a relatively new book that seems to be getting
good reviews. I'm not sure any of those will be better for teaching a class
(I originally got into programming through game related projects) but they
should give some more options
