Interesting slides. For reference PDF is an open standard - ISO 32000-1:2008. (Adobe put it forward for standardisation some time ago) There's a PDF importer for Open Office available as well, so people can edit PDFs too. It's not as nice as having a .odp file (for example), but it is open and can be editted -) It's also understood by slideshare, so if you embed your fonts (like OOo does automatically unless you tell it otherwise), then your slides look the same online as they do when you present it yourself.
