If you plan to work on hgview, I think it could be great to give you commit right on the repo and access to pypi.
Thanks, but this was mainly scratching my itch and keeping my Fedora hgview package working when Python 2 very soon will be dropped.
Bitbucket will remove mercurial support in 2020, maybe we could give a try to https://hg.sr.ht/ , I never used it but IIUC I would allow to handle a list of users who can push to the repo, have a ticket tracker and the CI could run pypi upload using new pypi API tokens. What do you and others think ?
As a lead developer of https://kallithea-scm.org/ , that is what I would use ;-)
In the meantime, feel free to open PR on bitbucket or send patches with "hg email" to this list.
Perhaps consider https://www.logilab.org/ticket/103668 and apply https://src.fedoraproject.org/rpms/hgview/blob/master/f/hgview-man-path.patch .
Also, for https://www.logilab.org/ticket/112566 , what icon are you using for the Debian package? I use https://src.fedoraproject.org/rpms/hgview/blob/master/f/hgview.png .
