Thus supporting maya 8.5 could improve the potential user base quite a bit it seems :).
Chad, what do you think about putting online a git version of pymel, allowing all the part-time hackers out there to contribute more easily. Currently I am tracking your svn repository with git-svn ( which is generally fine ), but would have to send patches to you in case I want to make good hacks available. Using git though, sending these patches by email and applying them ( to finally merge them into the main branch of pymel ) would be much easier on your side as this workflow is directly supported. Git would not replace the main svn repository, but would be a means of easily getting and tracking quick patches that others do. This surely does not only apply to pymel, but to any other open source project. Just putting 'git' onto the table for discussion, Sebastian [ who is happily working with git and svn for quite a while now, seeing the benefits ] --~--~---------~--~----~------------~-------~--~----~ Yours, Maya-Python Club Team. -~----------~----~----~----~------~----~------~--~---
