the problem is as he suspected:  you need to ensure that your sphinx-build, 
sphinx-* scripts all use the desired mayapy and not just regular system python 
interpreter.  best way to do this on windows is to use the trick i posted to 
install sphinx to each maya site-packages directory.  on osx or linux you can 
just change the path at the top of the script.
