Alright then, :) a new hassle for the new year... last year I compiled Qt
against window xp 64 so now for kubuntu, come on hit me, hit meeeeeee!!!

alright let me calm down a little bit, it shouldn't be that hard under
Kubuntu, and I think I could find the previous version in synaptics
(maybe)...

for installing Maya 2011-x64 under Kubuntu 10.04 LTS (and under the older

hope they help, I don't remember any particular step that led me to solve
the problem... maya was giving the same error messages about an environment
variable and then somehow I passed that, may be it was adlmreg I was using,
don't remember exactly... the links above helped me a lot...
