Alright then, :) a new hassle for the new year... last year I compiled Qt against window xp 64 so now for kubuntu, come on hit me, hit meeeeeee!!!
alright let me calm down a little bit, it shouldn't be that hard under Kubuntu, and I think I could find the previous version in synaptics (maybe)... for installing Maya 2011-x64 under Kubuntu 10.04 LTS (and under the older versions and Ubuntu I presume) here are some links: http://etoia.free.fr/?p=1611 http://area.autodesk.com/forum/autodesk-maya/autodesk-maya-2011/maya-2011-on-ubuntux64-40solved41/post-0/#p0 http://forum.cgpersia.com/f13/autodesk-maya-2011-32-bit-64-bit-9822/index4.html hope they help, I don't remember any particular step that led me to solve the problem... maya was giving the same error messages about an environment variable and then somehow I passed that, may be it was adlmreg I was using, don't remember exactly... the links above helped me a lot... cheers...
