Dear all,

The pythonocc project hosting forge is currently moving from googlecode/svn
to github. This decision was took a few days ago, after a positive
experience with the OCE project, git, and github.

The first step of this move has been achieved: the googlecode subversion
repository has been exported to git/github thanks to the svn2git ruby
program. All svn commiters have been converted to github users (for those
who have registered github). The project page is now:
https://github.com/tpaviot/pythonocc. We still have to move open issues as
well as wiki pages, that can be easily and quickly done.

github will allow much more powerful development processes, and it will make
pythonocc development consistent with other related projects, like OCE () or
StepClassLibrary (https://github.com/mpictor/StepClassLibrary). We will go
with the workflow designed/setup by Denis Barbier for OCE, which has proven
to be quite efficient (see https://github.com/tpaviot/oce/wiki/Git-workflow
).

If you want to contribute to pythonocc via github, you can:
- be registered as a pythonocc 'Collaborator'. Just reply to this email if
you want to be part of it
- fork the pythonocc repository and submit branches ('pull requests') to be
merged into the original repository.

Untill the end of august, we will develop/test under git/github, while
keeping the googlecode project page alive. If we're satisfied with
git/github then we'll go on with it and delete the cooglecode project page.

Best Regards,

Thomas
