OK, I had a look at files in locales/...

I have two minor concerns that make the work of sending a call for
translations (as well as a call for translation updates) a little bit
more difficult:

1) PO files are clearly no up-to-date. Not all of them have the same
number of messages:

ca :Charset is UTF-8. Stats: ca.po: 102 translated messages, 5 fuzzy
translations, 10 untranslated messages.
cs :Charset is iso-8859-2. Stats: cs.po: 152 translated messages, 19
untranslated messages.
da :Charset is UTF-8. Stats: da.po: 169 translated messages.
de :Charset is UTF-8. Stats: de.po: 107 translated messages, 10 untranslated
messages.
es :Charset is UTF-8. Stats: es.po: 485 translated messages.
eu :Charset is ASCII. Stats: eu.po: 163 translated messages, 6 untranslated
messages.
fr :Charset is UTF-8. Stats: fr.po: 425 translated messages, 20 fuzzy
translations, 40 untranslated messages.
no :Charset is UTF-8. Stats: no.po: 117 translated messages, 16 fuzzy
translations, 35 untranslated messages.
pl :Charset is UTF-8. Stats: pl.po: 112 translated messages, 5 untranslated
messages.
ru :Charset is UTF-8. Stats: ru.po: 171 translated messages, 28 untranslated
messages.
sv :Charset is UTF-8. Stats: sv.po: 365 translated messages, 46 untranslated
messages.

2) there is no POT file to use as a template, in SVN, for people who
would like to start a new translation effort.

For 1), things are fairly easy: the PO files can be "refreshed" with
an up-to-date POT file with:

msgmerge -U <pofile> <pot-file>

But that obviously depends on 2)....:-)

About 2), I know that most developers don't like generated files to
lie in VCS. However, for translators, this is an incredible help to
have them as it makes the good reference they need.

I'm unfortunately not familiar enough with i18n of Python software and
I have indeed no idea about how to regenerate to POT file from source
code. Could I have a hint about that? This would allow me to refresh
existing PO files and even send a call for translations to existing
translators, in addition to call for new translations.
