I sincerely appreciate your help.  But my knowledge of buildout is too
weak to really help much more at this point. 

Since the app now runs on Python 2.6 okay I am just going to simply list
PyXB-base-1.1.0 as a perquisite and have them install it in the system
site-packages.  :-)

But using build out it certainly puts an EGG-INFO dir in the install.  I
guess the information comes from the PKG-INFO file?

Anyway, if I find out what is wrong.  I'll post it here.
