To whom it may concern: ----------------------- In OpenOffice Calc I found incorrect values when using funktion COS();
e.g., formula: 2*PI()*R*COS(0°-90°Latitude) /360 = ... R=6376 km Result shall show difference in km between two meridians (longitudes) Only COS(0) delivers correct value=1 ==> 111,2821931072 km COS(45)= 0,5253219888 incorrect (correct = 0,707106781) Could you be so kind to give an explanation - or what did I do wrong?
