Gary,

I looked at the output.txt file and I see that the transcoding time was around
13 minutes. Can you tell me how long the generated video
"/tmp/A-014/A-014/A-014.mpeg2" is ? It seems of the generated chapters, the
last one 00:11:19.500 is set at 679.445 seconds, which would mean, that the
whole video is less than 00:23:21.000.

The last transcoding line states :
Pos:1279.9s  42634f (25%) 151.25fps Trem:  13min 2922mb  A-V:0.066
[4568:192]^MPos:1280.0s  42635f (25%) 151.25fps Trem:  13min 2922mb  A-V:0.069
[4568:192]

So it seems that only 25% was converted to mpeg2 ( It should be around 1hour
and 30min == 5400 seconds instead of 1280 seconds )

Looking at the command :
/usr/bin/mencoder -oac lavc -ovc lavc -ss 0 -endpos 5448 -mpegopts
format=dvd:tsaf -lavcopts
vcodec=mpeg2video:vrc_buf_size=1835:aspect=4/3:vrc_maxrate=9800:vbitrate=6600:keyint=15:acodec=mp2:abitrate=192
 -vf scale=720:480,harddup -srate 48000 -ofps 30000/1001 -of mpeg -o
"/tmp/A-014/A-014/A-014.mpeg2" "/home/garydale/mnt/media/video/to be
burned/A-014/A-014.avi"

So the problem seems to be mencoder does not transcode the whole video ( from
ss=0 to endpos=5448 ). You can try out the above command manually and see if
this happens again.
You can also try one of the other available transcoding options. Maybe try
ffmpeg instead.

Note: Please remember, that once the video is transcoded and you want to
re-create the DVD you can simply un-check the transcoding part so you won't
have to wait an hour.

Note2: If ffmpeg works better for transcoding on your system, you can click on

I hope this helped fixing your issue.
