Sorry - I am not a GET/POST specialist - so I can't help here.

You may - however - try to raise the URL length limit. There hardly any old browsers around there any more who still have this limit. I think IE9 was affected - but these days there are hardly any IE9 around anymore. Most have been upgraded to IE10 and IE11.

Maybe in the US there are more IE die hards, but in Europe most people have moved to more powerful browser alternative.
