I wonder if the recently added geometry modifiers could be introduced
also for labeling in a future QGIS release?
Use case:
Label a linear feature multiple times with different label text. E.g. a
label at the beginning of the line, a label somewhere along the feature,
and a different label at the end of the line.
@Matthias: this would be for the waste-water management application
where we need a main label and two minor levels at certain map scales
numbering the pipes/reaches flowing into a manhole or special structure.
