The default location should be %APPDATA%\postgresql\.pg_service.conf A good tool to track down stuff like this is: https://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/sysinternals/processmonitor.aspx There I also see that psql.exe looks for pg_service.conf in C:\OSGeo4W64\etc Jürgen -- Jürgen E.
