Ah, I thought this was maybe part of the 'security'-scan for plugins, from that
comes my question.
And about the ordering, I meant the plugin manager in QGIS, not so much the
plugins.qgis.org website. Sorry for the confusion.
Not sure IF the plugins manager has information to change the order based on
the options I mentioned though...

an idea to order the list based on: the number of stars, of number of
downloads? Then at least plugins which earned some credits will be most
viewable, instead of handy authors naming there plugins so that they appear
upfront :-)
I think this categorised list already exists, but maybe we could bring them on the upper level? So we would have
"Popular plugins" or "Most downloaded" plugins instead of "All plugins" on the top bar
and accessible from the "Explore" link.
