This has not been my experience. "Save as shapefile" saves in the
same projection as the original, not in the project projection.
Correction! It asks for what proejction to save as. Misremembered. :-)
This was introduced in r9334. I'm not sure if it made it into
preview 1.
Very nice. I just tested this and it does perform a reproject on save
based on your chosen CRS. Obviously, you need your vector layer to be
correctly assigned its CRS before you perform the save.
