I've improved the directions including grass, ecw and sid support,
thanks to comments sent by Micha Silver and Jürgen Fischer,

QGIS in Desktop and qgis-grass-plugin in Libs. The rest should be
selected automatically. You can also install tcltk and/or wxpython to
get other GUIs for GRASS.

Hello again
I have downloaded the grass plugin & installed although QGIS couldn't
find the install & I had to point QGIS to it.
Still learning this so may be a little time before I get to use all the
functions
Its a great program with so many uses
