You can click the connect/stop button again to stop the detection. If you are only interested in stuff that already has been detected. And you can add your columns to geometry_columns with a point, line or polygon type and/or check the "use estimated meta data" option in the postgis connection to speed things up. Jürgen -- Jürgen E.
