On the contrary we should stimulate more the plugins developers to
migrate their tools in the new repository

there are a lot of advantages, both for the developers and for the
users.
I also think that would be the better way..
Beside that - searching for "QGIS Plugin repository" in google gives
this page as a first hit:
http://hub.qgis.org/projects/quantum-gis/wiki/Python_Plugin_Repositories
I know there are probaly more repositories out there but .. the most
important are there ..
