Hello,
since Larry wrote he was going to update the OsGeo4Mac homebrew "tap",
things have become more difficult; the homebrew-core formula for
qscintilla2 was changed to get rid Qt4, so it became utterly difficult to
build QGIS without hacking homebrew. The maintainers of the core formulas
ask to get rid of Qt4 as moving to Qt5 doesn't ask any important effort,
they say. I'm generally not so confident on things that don't require
important efforts.
Is homebrew still an advisable way to install QGIS?
c
