Hi Nicolas,

Since your reply I managed to solve it (with some thought triggers from another
respondent). Essentially I had two screens, but had to lose one temporarily.
When I again had two screens I swapped them around. The Georeferencer must have
been appearing out of the viewable area, even though I had two screens once
again connected. I swapped the screens back over today and then opened the
georeferencer and there it was.

Many thanks for your help, thankfully the issue is now resolved, but its seems
odd that this wasnt resolved by an uninstall / reinstall etc.

Many thanks,

Ian

Hi,

I don't have the reste of the post. What is the georefrencer doing? Do you
have other issues with Python extensions? Is there a funny caracter (like é)
in you user name path? Did you have two screens before and now, only have one?

You could repost with all the information adding the windows and qgis versions
and the installer used.

You could also have a look at the bug list to figure it out.
Nicolas

Hi Nicolas,

I removed all the .qgis2 folders within my login, but not from other users, I
would imagine I would have to be logged in as them and as some of them have now
left the company this may be difficult. I removed the registry keys.

I did a full uninstall using the uninstall routine, but also used (after this
failing) further uninstall software to get rid of remaining elements.

Many thanks,

Ian

Hi,

Did you manually remove all .qgis2 folders for all the users in the computers?
If you have have 3 users , you have 3 .qgis2 folders. Did you destroy the
registry keys?

You talk about a full uninstall, what procedure did you use? You must have
something lying around giving you problems.

Nicolas

Hi Nicolas,

It was working originally and I used it a lot. I have uninstalled QGIS several
times and replaced with several subsequent versions but it still remains
broken. When I click the geo referencer button, nothing happens.

I have to use QGIS on a new machine to use the geo reference function. You
would think that a full uninstall and a reinstall would fix any such issues,
however this persists.

Kind regards,

Ian
